We in Plaid Ifanc would like to express our solidarity with the LGBT+ community this Pride Weekend, and hope that everyone has an empowering and enjoyable experience.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our particular support to the transgender community. We stand against recent sustained attacks to discredit and stir distrust towards transgender individuals, and specifically reject the notion that the advancement of transgender women’s rights in any way damages the rights of cisgender (non-transgender) women.
Plaid Ifanc prides itself on its record of pro-active support for the LGBT+ community and stands against those who seek to create an environment of prejudice and discrimination towards those of a particular gender identity or sexual orientation.
