It’s that time of the year again – yes, Plaid Ifanc National Conference is upon us!
This conference gives us an opportunity to renew our movement and to take stock of the events over the last year, including Brexit and our electoral success last May. We will be deciding on our next National Executive Committee, electing a new chair for our movement and voting on motions and amendments to our constitution!
This is your chance to submit motions, get involved in debates, and stand for election for the NEC. This year we are being hosted by Swansea branch, and conference will be held on Saturday 8th of April.
Click here for the constitution as it stands, as well as a form that must be used in order to submit an amendment or motion. In addition, you will find here the details of the job descriptions for all roles on the NEC. If you are interested in standing, please send your name, the position you wish to apply for and a manifesto of no more than 300 words to [email protected].
As Plaid Ifanc wants to be a movement for the whole of Wales, at least 4 out of the 9 members of the NEC must be women, including one of our co-chairs. Therefore we particularly encourage applicants from people who identify in this way. Similarly, people to identify as LGBT+ or BME are strongly encouraged to apply. Let’s make Plaid Ifanc a movement for the whole of Wales, for a free Wales we can all be part of!
Accommodation and transport will be arranged, and subsidised in some cases. Get in touch if you wish to arrange!
Please register as soon as possible following this link so we can have an idea of how many people will need accommodation.
