The youth organisation of Plaid Cymru, Plaid Cymru Ifanc, will look to be ‘at the forefront of Welsh politics’ as they look towards the political future of Wales. The work will begin with two winter schools held in north and south Wales in January.
‘2016 was a difficult year for many politically engaged young people in Wales’ said Plaid Cymru Ifanc chair, Emyr Gruffydd, ‘Its important that we help coach and train one another and better our understanding of the challenges that face us as a country’.
Two winter schools will be held – one in Bangor and the other in Neath. The events are free and open to young people.
‘We must be fresh and at the forefront of any political mobilisation in Wales. We are already seeing more Plaid Ifanc candidates stand than ever before for the local 2017 elections. The Winter School is an excellent place to begin the work that is ahead of us’ added Emyr Gruffydd.
The first Plaid Cymru Ifanc winter school will be held in Bangor in the Eric Sunderland room in the main building at Bangor University at 11 o’ clock in the morning, Saturday 14th of January.
The second will be held in Gnoll Park in Neath at 10.30 o’ clock in the morning on Saturday the 28th of January.
