Interview from Delyth Jewell AM
Born in Caerphilly and brought up in Ystrad Mynach, Delyth Jewell attended Ysgol Bro Allta and Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni before graduating with a BA in English Language and Literature and a Masters degree in Celtic Studies from University of Oxford. After leaving University she worked as a parliamentary researcher for Plaid Cymru in Westminster, where she was awarded the ‘Parliamentary Researcher of the Year’ in the 2014 DODS Parliamentary Researcher of the Year Awards. She has also worked for Citizens Advice and the charity ActionAid on issues relating to international development and women’s rights, therefore there is no question that she’s the perfect role model to helps inspire and encourage other women in Wales to get involved in Politics and hopefully one day stand in an election; locally or Nationally.
